Annual Summary Slide Show of Online CME

After an interim of 2 1/2 years, I have finally published my "annual" Summary Slide Show of Online CME.
Key points:
The number of active Online CME sites has leveled off to about 300 sites. With the folding of eMedicine's CME into Medscape, the number of activities and hours has actually dropped.
The number and percentage of sites offering free CME credit continues to grow.
Slide-audio and slide-video lectures are much more polished.
At least 30 sites are now using podcasting.
Please view the entire show and get back to me with any comments or questions.

ACCME reports further increase in Online CME

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) has just released its report of CME activity for 2008. This report shows that physician participation in Online CME has increased from about 31% in 2007 to about 40% in 2008. This continues a steep increase in the number of physicians participating in Online CME.
